I am a comic book creator, storyboard artist, and illustrator from Ireland.
I am a First-Class Honours graduate of 3-Dimensional Design, Model Making & Digital Art at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire. While there I learned how to conceptualise and create in 3-dimensions, both physically and digitally, for application in product design, film, and interactive media. The course taught me a wide amount of skills, in both the physical and digital fabrication of 3-dimensional objects, as well as the ability to design these objects through illustration.
In late 2015 I released my debut graphic novel, 'Rabbit and Paul'. A fantastic learning experience, the title has received praise from both critics and the public. It was nominated for 3 ICN Awards, winning 1 award.
My latest book, 'Project Crossroads', a collaboration with 7 of the top up-and-coming Irish comic creators, was released in 2016. The book was launched at Thought Bubble in Leeds, the UK's biggest sequential art festival. 'Project Crossroads' had its Irish launch in the Big Bang Comics a week later, with the entire creative team present.
My final year college project, 'Brigid and the Secrets of Tír na nÓg', involved the creation of a playable game level built in the Unreal Engine and a 3D print of the titular character. This was an incredible learning experience, as my focus on the project was translating my illustrative work into 3-dimensions. The project was displayed at both the IADT Graduate Exhibition the New Blades exhibition in June 2016.
I am currently a Storyboard Revisionist at Cartoon Saloon, in Kilkenny, Ireland. Before this, I was a Storyboard Revisionist in Lighthouse Studios, also in Kilkenny, Ireland.
